Here is how you can help us as a volunteer:

We are in need of volunteers for three days. On Friday October 11th beginning at 7pm we are setting up the stages and decor in the Central London Public Library rooms and lobbies. Then on Saturday October 12th and Sunday October 13th we need volunteer staff to assist with conference event facilitation, special need attendants, and stage crew. Presentation Facilitators for Canadian Ataxia Conference [8 Presentation Facilitators needed]:

8 Presentation Facilitators are needed for the Canadian Ataxia Conference to assist in facilitating the schedule of healthcare, research, and medical presentations of Dr. Grace Yoon, Prof. Jacques Tremblay, Gail Ouellette, and others. You will be working with the Presentation Coordinator Bryher Patterson. Shifts on October 11th, 12th, and 13th 2013.

Duties are to:
1) To ensure that the presenters are guided on stage when their presentation is scheduled.
2) To ensure that the next upcoming presenter is guided from the Presenter's Lounge to the correct stage side waiting area ready to be announced.
3) To ensure that the presenters are guided off stage and back to the Presenter's Lounge after the conclusion on their presentation.
3) To ensure that the schedule is followed successfully without delays.
3) One shift is mandatory for orientation reasons on Oct. 11th, the other shift my be taken in any combinations.

The overall volunteer time commitment involved is 10 hours total at most (2 hours on Friday Oct. 11th, 10 hours available to choose from on Oct. 12th, 4 hours to choose from on Oct. 13th)

Presentation Techs for Canadian Ataxia Conference [4 Presentation Techs needed]:

4 Presentation Techs are needed for the Canadian Ataxia Conference to assist in the technical needs of the presentations for Dr. Grace Yoon, Prof. Jacques Tremblay, Gail Ouellette, and others. You will be working with the Presentation Coordinator Bryher Patterson and organizer Roger Foley. Shifts on October 11th, 12th, and 13th 2013.

Duties are to:
1) To ensure that the technical needs of each presentation are met.
2) To ensure that the technical process of the presentations are successful.
3) You will be overseeing a labtop with Windows, PowerPoint, PDFs, and video files will be projected on a screen.
3) You will also oversee one microphone and speaker.
3) One shift is mandatory for orientation reasons on Oct. 11th, the other shift my be taken in any combinations.

The overall volunteer time commitment involved is 10 hours total at most (2 hours on Friday Oct. 11th, 10 hours available to choose from on Oct. 12th, 4 hours to choose from on Oct. 13th)

Presenter Attendants for Canadian Ataxia Conference [6 Presenter Attendants needed]:

6 Presenter Attendants are needed for the Canadian Ataxia Conference to assist in the presenters with guidance and concierge duties. The presenters are medical professionals Dr. Grace Yoon, Prof. Jacques Tremblay, Gail Ouellette, and others. You will be working with the Presentation Coordinator Bryher Patterson and organizer Roger Foley. Shifts on October 11th, 12th, and 13th 2013.

Duties are to:
1) To ensure that the presenters are aware of their schedule to present.
2) To ensure that the presenters are comfortable in waiting within the Presenter's Lounge.
3) To answer any questions the presenters have.
3) To greet the presenters upon arrival and guide them to the Presenter's Lounge and stage areas.
3) One shift is mandatory for orientation reasons on Oct. 11th, the other shift my be taken in any combinations.

The overall volunteer time commitment involved is 10 hours total at most (2 hours on Friday Oct. 11th, 10 hours available to choose from on Oct. 12th, 4 hours to choose from on Oct. 13th)

Accessibility Managers for Canadian Ataxia Conference [4 Accessibility Managers needed]:

4 Accessibility Managers are needed for the Canadian Ataxia Conference to manage the Special Needs Attendant volunteers who will be assisting attendees with accessible needs.

Duties are to:
1) Supervise and Manage the Special Needs Attendants with their duties and help with any concerns that may arise.
2) To keep track of assigned area of the Stevenson and Hunt room and Crush Lobby accessible areas and Special Needs Attendants facilitation.
3) To keep track of assigned area of the Wolf Performance Hall's accessible areas and Special Needs Attendants facilitation for Opera Concert.
4) To keep in hand the charts and agendas of the accessible seating reservations.
5) To keep track of accessible areas as they are taken.

Special Needs Attendants for Canadian Ataxia Conference [10 Special Needs Attendants needed]:

10 Special Needs Attendants are needed for the Canadian Ataxia Conference to assist those with accessible needs to their accessible seats and areas.

Duties are to:
1) Direct and assist attendees with accessible needs to accessible areas in the Central Library Building to view presentations and attend banquet.
2) Direct and assist attendees with accessible needs to accessible areas in the Wolf Performance Hall to view the Concert Opera.
3) To guide attendees with special needs out of the Wolf Performance Hall after the Concert Opera is finished.
4) Attendants will be helping people who have accessible equipment such as canes, walkers, and wheelchairs. Each Special Needs Attendant will be assigned an area and entrance of the Wolf Performance Hall to oversee and also be provide with a list of attendees that have reserved accessible areas in advance.

4 Ticket Registration Managers are needed for the Canadian Ataxia Conference.

Duties are to:
1) Handle day of admissions verification for the Canadian Ataxia Conference events (Presentation sessions, Concert Opera, Banquet).
2) Supervising the Ticket Registration Personnel to ensure they succeed with their duties.
3) To keep records of ticket sales and admissions.
3) To assist Ushers and Special Needs Attendants if difficulties arise.
4) To contact the organizers if admissions difficulties arise.
5) To give all payments revenues and records to event organizers when each event's admission closes.

The overall volunteer time commitment involved is 10 hours total (2 hours on Friday Oct. 11th; 8 hours with shift options on Oct. 12th and Oct. 13th)

Duties are to:
1) Handle day-of ticket cash sales collections.
2) Verify the admissions of attendees who have purchased tickets in advance by checking and colleting their ticket.
3) To keep records of ticket sales and admissions.
4) To give all payments revenues and records to a Ticket Registration Manager when admission closes.

4 Publicity Managers are needed for the next show.

Duties are to:
1) Facilitate the access of members of the media (reporters, photographers, videographers, journalists) who are covering the Conference events.
2) To handle and give Publicity Passes and Media Passes to the reporters, photographers, and journalists who have arranged to cover Conference events.
3) To keep records of the media personnel that attend the Conference.
3) To assist with any questions or guidance reporters, photographers, videographers, and journalists have regarding covering the Conference events.
3) To report to organizers the records of the media personnel that attend the Conference at the end of shifts.

6 Decoration Crew members are needed for the Canadian Ataxia Conference to help decorate the presentation room, lobby, and Wolf Performance Hall Concert Opera Stage.

Duties are to:
1) To help decorate the Stevenson and Hunt room and lobby's with curtains, presentation area, and table set ups.
2) To help decorate the Wolf Performance Hall stage with curtains, effect lights, 4-foot diameter Mirror Ball, and banners.
3) To help take down decor of Wolf Performance Hall stage after concert opera is finished.
3) To help take down decor of Stevenson and Hunt room and lobby's after conference is finished.

The overall volunteer time commitment involved is 9 hours total (3 hours on Friday Oct. 11th; and either 3 hours to 6 hours on Oct. 12th, and 3 hours Oct. 13th)

Catering Assistants for Canadian Ataxia Conference [6 Catering Assistants needed]:

6 Catering Assistants are needed for the Canadian Ataxia Conference to help with catering needs and facilitation of banquet and lunches.

Duties are to:
1) To help decorate the Stevenson and Hunt room for banquet.
2) To help facilitate banquet speakers with their speeches.
3) To help special needs attendees with any food service needs, for example helping them put food on their plate in the buffet area, and helping them bring back their plate to their table.
4) To helping attendees with their plate transportation.
5) To help attendees at the banquet with any questions they have.

The overall volunteer time commitment involved is 6 hours total (1 hour on Friday Oct. 11th; and either 5 hours on Oct. 12th, or 5 hours Oct. 13th)

Conference Concierge for Canadian Ataxia Conference [8 Conference Concierges needed]:

8 Conference Concierges are needed for the Canadian Ataxia Conference to help with provide information desk services for any questions attendees of the events have.

Duties are to:
1) To sit at the information table in the venue's lobby and answer any questions that are asked about the Conference.
2) To provide information to attendees about the Conference events, times, or schedule information.
3) To guide attendees to locations within the Conference venue area if they are lost or need assistance.
4) To hand out any Conference or Charitable flyers and programs to any one who needs it.
5) To guide attendees to the appropriate volunteer Managers for their assistance.

The overall volunteer time commitment involved is 7 hours total (2 hours on Friday Oct. 11th; and either 5 hours on Oct. 12th, or 5 hours Oct. 13th)

Photographers and Videographers needed for Canadian Ataxia Conference:

Photographers and Videographers needed to photograph and film the Canadian Ataxia Conference events.

We will provide free "Photographer and Videographer full-access passes" to any photographer or videographer wishing to photograph and film the Canadian Ataxia Conference presentations, attendees, and Concert Opera. The only request we ask in return is full-rez copies of all the photos and video that you take. We will promote you as a media sponsor of the Canadian Ataxia Conference and Limitless With Limitations. A Publicity Manager for the Conference will provide you with assistance.

1) Ensure the performers are on cue for stage appearances
2) Ensure the Stage Hands meet their objectives of moving props and stage set objects.
3) To wear a headset communicating with the tech booth to ensure technical cues are reached.

Stage Hands for Concert Opera [8 Stage Hands needed]:

8 Stage Hands are needed for the next show.

Duties are to:
1) Help move designed stage set into place for show and teardown after show.
2) Ensure objectives of moving props and objects on and off stage are met.
3) To adjust stage curtains for show opening.
4) To help performers with stage cues, moving into place, costume changes.
5) Help with instruments/microphones positioning.
6) Help the Stage Managers with any assistance they need to meet their objectives.

The overall volunteer time commitment involved is 10.5 hours total (4 hours on Friday Oct. 11th, 6 hours on Oct. 12th)

10 ushers are needed for the next show.

Duties are to direct and assist attendees of the Concert Opera to their seats in the Wolf Performance Hall. Each usher will be assigned an area of seats to oversee.

Usher Supervisor for Concert Opera [2 Ushers needed]:

2 Usher Supervisors are needed for the next show.

Duties are to Manage the ushers of the Concert Opera and assist in any difficulties that may arise with the duties of their assigned ushers. Each Usher Supervisor will be assigned 5 Ushers to supervise.

The overall volunteer time commitment involved is 5 hours total (2 hour on Friday Oct. 11th, 3 hours on Oct. 12th)

Singers (both male and female vocalists needed for musical performances):

Our next show on October 12th 2013 at the Wolf Performance Hall in London, Ontario requires additional lead and background vocalists for the musical numbers. Costumes for the show will be custom make for all vocalists.

Musical performances available singers are:
1) "Limitless With Limitations" opening song performance
2) "With My Own Eyes" song performance
3) "Glow Glow Mirror Ball" closing song performance
4) Guest performance by an original local artist (Feature on singer for two of their own songs)

The overall volunteer time commitment involved is 16 hours total (3 hours on Friday Oct. 11th, 7 hours on Oct. 12th).

Hip hop, house, disco dancers needed for our next show on October 12th 2013 at the Wolf Performance Hall in London, Ontario requires additional lead and background vocalists for the musical numbers. Costumes for the show will be custom make for all dancers. Lead and background dancers for the choreography of Glow Glow Mirror Ball [house music routine], With My Own Eyes [techno routine], All for Walking on the Moon [salsa routine], Perfect Miracle [rock ballad choreography], and the opening song Limitless With Limitations [rock n' roll routine]. Costumes for the show will be custom make for all dancers.

3) "Friends Stand Tall Together" dance performance
4) Autocratic Oath's music set dance performance
5) "Wanting it All" dance performance

7) "Glow Glow Mirror Ball" closing dance performance

The overall volunteer time commitment involved is 16 hours.

Laserbeam Dancers (both male and female laserbeam dancers needed to point lasers on Giant Mirror Ball in choreography):

We need performers to shoot lasers and lights at our huge 4-foot diameter Mirror Ball stage centerpiece. You will be all dressed in dark blue and purple metallic outfits with a effect laser light in hand. You will come on stage during the songs and shoot the Mirror Ball with your effect lights in a graceful movement style. It is for our next show on October 12th 2013 at the Wolf Performance Hall in London, Ontario.
